To optimize individual pages on your website for search engine ranking, follow these easy steps:
- Login and click on "Site Map".
- Click on the name of the page that you want to optimize for search engine rankings.
- Click on the "Edit" tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the section entitled "Search Engine Optimization for this Page".
- Enter a "Page Description". The "Page Description" should be a 1-2 sentence description of the contents of the page. Be sure and includes words that visitors might search for using search engines (e.g. www.google.com).
- Enter your "Page Keywords" (separated by commas). The "Page Keywords" are words or short phrases that visitors might search for using search engines in order to find your website.
- Click the "Update Page" button.
While making this change will affect the meta tags which web crawlers read, unless you have a decent amount of content, you will basically be ignored by search engines.
